2. What data do we collect and why?

A. Visit to the public website

We collect limited cookie-based data to improve the website and to keep statistics.

B. Use of the Member Portal

To access secured documentation and manage your membership, we process:

  • Professional data: company, company number, role, and any expertise/specialisation within our Technical Committees (TCs) and Working Groups (WGs).
  • Log data: access timestamps.
  • Legal basis: performance of the membership contract and compliance with legal obligations (e.g. anti-moneylaundering).

C. Event registration

When you register for an event, we process data necessary for organisation and security:

  • Identification and contact details: for registration and practical communications.
  • Logistical data (license plates): only if parking is provided.
  • Catering data (allergies, intolerances): only to adapt meals.
    • These data are shared with caterers only when strictly necessary, and often anonymised.
  • Legal basis: performance of the contract and explicit consent regarding allergies.

D. Photography and video recordings at events

Photos or video recordings may be taken for use on our website, Member Portal or social media.

You may always inform the photographer or object afterwards to the publication of your image.

We use your contact details to inform you about sector news, legislation and future events organised by Becobra.
